Trieste marked the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic on Tuesday with a series of public events organized by the Prefecture and the Municipality in Piazza Unità d’Italia.

The day began with a flag-raising ceremony at 10 a.m., held simultaneously with the national observance at the Redipuglia Military Memorial. Later in the afternoon, a flag-lowering ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., followed by the reading of a message from the President of the Republic.

Evening celebrations will continue in nearby Piazza Verdi. Beginning at 8:30 p.m., musicians from the Tartini Conservatory will perform a live musical introduction. A public concert organized by the Presidency of the Republic will then be broadcast on a large outdoor screen installed for the occasion.
