This spring, the Orto Botanico di Trieste is offering visitors a chance to slow down and reconnect with nature through “Flower Lab – Energia e creatività dai fiori,” a pair of immersive workshops blending botanical exploration with floral design.
Organized by the Municipality of Trieste and CoopCulture in collaboration with Jagoda Flowerfarm, the initiative celebrates the colors, scents and seasonal rhythms of the Karst landscape surrounding the city.
Each session begins with a guided walk through the botanical garden’s pathways and flower beds, where participants are introduced to seasonal blooms and plant collections before taking part in a hands-on floral workshop inspired by the local territory.
The first event, scheduled for Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m., focuses on creating a spring bouquet using flowers and wild herbs cultivated at Jagoda Flowerfarm. A second workshop on Saturday, June 13 at 10 a.m. will center on crafting the traditional St. John’s wreath, tied to midsummer solstice celebrations.
Both activities last approximately two hours and cost 50 euros per participant.
Reservations can be made by phone at +39 040 9892032.
