The Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government has introduced a new funding program aimed at helping established professionals invest in their businesses, offering grants ranging from €5,000 to €30,000 to support innovation, technology and long-term employment.
The initiative, which came into force on Wednesday under a new regional regulation, is open to self-employed professionals, professional partnerships and professional companies that have operated for at least three years and maintain a registered or operational office in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Regional Labor Councilor Alessia Rosolen said the measure is designed to strengthen the competitiveness of professional practices while encouraging stable job creation.
The program is available to professionals under the age of 46 who employ at least three workers on permanent contracts, or at least one employee with a permanent contract who has a disability. For professional partnerships and companies, all partners must meet the age requirement.
Eligible investments include the purchase of equipment and assets intended to improve business competitiveness, such as technological equipment, office furnishings, software, trademarks and patents.
The regional government will cover 50 percent of eligible expenses for investment plans valued between €10,000 and €60,000, with grants ranging from a minimum of €5,000 to a maximum of €30,000.
Applications will be evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis and must be submitted online through the Region’s IOL digital platform. The government has allocated €800,000 to the program for the 2026–2028 period.
Regional officials said the initiative aims to help professional firms modernize their operations while promoting innovation, qualified employment and greater workplace inclusion across the region.
