A community celebration marking U.S. Independence Day will take place on Saturday, July 4, at the Prosecco Junior Alpina Baseball Stadium in Sgonico, just outside Trieste. The free event, open to the public, begins at 6 p.m.
The gathering will feature baseball, American-style food, live music and entertainment, with country line dancing led by DJ Wolf starting at 8 p.m. Organizers say the event is designed as a family-friendly celebration, inviting visitors to enjoy an evening inspired by American culture.
Guests are encouraged to wear cowboy hats, bring baseball gloves and take part in the festivities, which will include hamburgers and other American specialties in a red, white and blue atmosphere.
This year’s celebration also coincides with the 250th anniversary of the United States, a milestone organizers describe as an opportunity to reflect on the country’s history and enduring themes of freedom, opportunity and resilience.
Whether attendees have American roots, an interest in U.S. culture or are simply looking for a summer evening of entertainment, the event is open to all.
