Friuli Venezia Giulia is showcasing its wine industry this week at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris 2026, one of the world’s leading wine and spirits trade fairs, expected to draw about 52,000 industry professionals from more than 150 countries.
Regional officials described the event as a key opportunity to strengthen the international visibility of both local wineries and the region as a whole. “It is an important occasion to promote our wine companies and the image of Friuli Venezia Giulia on the global stage,” said Sergio Emidio Bini, the regional councilor for productive activities and tourism, who visited the fair together with Stefano Zannier, councilor for agri-food resources.
Wine Paris & Vinexpo has become a central meeting point for producers of all sizes, offering smaller wineries the chance to engage directly with major international players and to build commercial relationships through thousands of targeted meetings.
Friuli Venezia Giulia’s participation reflects a coordinated institutional approach. Ersa, the regional agency for rural development, handled the selection of wineries and provided non-repayable grants to help offset participation costs, while PromoTurismoFVG managed the operational and promotional aspects.
Regional officials also highlighted the quality of the Friuli Venezia Giulia stand, designed to present the region’s producers alongside a strong narrative of the territory, reinforcing the link between wine, landscape and identity.
