After several days of rain, a drop in temperatures is set to mark the arrival of autumn across Friuli Venezia Giulia, according to forecasts from the regional meteorological agency Arpa FVG. The weekend is expected to bring cooler conditions and gusts of Bora wind in Trieste.

Saturday, Sept. 27
Forecasters predict variable cloud cover with clearer skies toward Trieste. Light, intermittent showers may develop in the afternoon and evening, especially in the mountains and western areas of the region, with possible downpours along the western coast. In Trieste, the Bora is expected to pick up, becoming moderate by evening.

Sunday, Sept. 28
Mostly clear skies are anticipated, except in the Tarvisio area, where low clouds could linger. Moderate Bora winds are likely along the coast and eastern plains, particularly in the morning, with stronger gusts expected in Trieste.

Monday, Sept. 29
Conditions should remain largely clear over the plains and coastline, while the mountains may see variable skies and occasional light rain in the afternoon. Bora winds will continue in Trieste at moderate intensity. Temperatures are projected to dip, with overnight lows in the plains potentially falling slightly below 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius).

The forecast signals a seasonal shift, as cooler air and the region’s characteristic Bora winds usher in autumn.
