San Giusto Castle in Trieste will open at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11, to give visitors an elevated view of the Barcolana sailing regatta across the Gulf of Trieste.
The early opening will allow visitors to watch the race from the castle’s Bastione Rotondo, a panoramic terrace overlooking the city and the gulf.
Bar Bastione, the café located within the castle, will also open at 8:30 a.m., offering outdoor seating with views of the regatta. Music will be provided throughout the day by Let’s Get in Touch, organized by Midnight Srl, which operates the café.
Access to the Bastione Rotondo will be limited to its authorized capacity under the site’s emergency plan.
Admission to the castle costs €7 for a standard ticket and €5 for a reduced ticket.
