A Summer Weekend in Trieste: Where Locals Go and What They’re Doing

On the first weekend of June, we headed into downtown Trieste, the capital of Friuli Venezia Giulia region, to see how residents were spending the start of summer. The city center, from Piazza Unità to the waterfront promenades, was animated by a mix of locals and visitors enjoying warm weather, outdoor cafés, and evening strolls.
