A jukebox musical will light up Castel San Giusto’s stage this Friday night at 9 pm making you want to dance and sing along to all those 80’s hits we all know and love.
Sweet Dream is a new 80’s–infused musical that debuted in Friuli Venezia Giulia in August 2019. The musical has received enthusiastic critical acclaim and experienced unprecedented advance ticket sales. The musical’s narrative force and emotional intensity are driven by songs that draw mainly on hits from the 80’s.
Sweet Dream’s storyline is concentrated in one bar where heartbreak, love and dreams come to life as the characters meet, break up and get back together again.
The staging of Sweet Dream will signify a “return to the excitement and pleasure of the great musical for all the citizens of Trieste and for the tourists who are returning to our city,” the organizers told us.
The cast is comprised of famed local artist such as Leonardo Zannier, Dennis Fantina, Gerry Zannier, Manuela “Nuelle” Di Benedetto, Laura Antonini, and Stefano Bartoli.
