A large wildfire broke out Saturday between Monfalcone and Duino in Friuli Venezia Giulia, sending a plume of smoke visible from several kilometers away.
Firefighters were mobilized to contain the flames, while the State Road 14 was closed to traffic as crews worked in the area. Authorities also reported a separate fire near Vermegliano.
