On February 24, 2026, one of FVG’s seaside resort towns, Lignano Sabbiadoro, will host a large-scale recruiting event aimed at staffing the upcoming summer tourist season. The initiative, known as a “Recruiting Day,” is the sixth such event organized by the regional administration this year and reflects ongoing efforts to address labor demand in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

The event will take place at the Sala dei Mille auditorium inside the Bella Italia Village and will bring together 49 hotels, resorts, and food-service businesses operating in and around Lignano Sabbiadoro. Together, they are seeking to fill 340 positions for the summer of 2026, a 21 percent increase compared with the previous year, when 280 jobs were advertised.

Organized by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia in collaboration with Confcommercio Udine, the local association representing commerce and tourism enterprises, the recruiting day is designed to facilitate direct contact between employers and job seekers. Candidates selected through a preliminary screening process will take part in in-person interviews on the day of the event.

According to Alessia Rosolen, the regional councillor for labor, the Lignano initiative builds on a strategy launched in 2025 that has included similar recruiting days in Udine and Tolmezzo, targeting both summer and winter employment. Last year’s edition in Lignano Sabbiadoro stood out for its high placement rate and positive feedback from participating businesses, making it one of the region’s most successful job-matching events. It is the sixth recruiting day promoted by the regional administration in 2026.

The positions on offer span a wide range of professional profiles typical of the seasonal tourism economy. Employers are seeking staff in administration, front-desk reception, kitchen operations, dining room and bar service, housekeeping, green-area maintenance, night security, and beach assistance, including lifeguard roles with or without formal certification.

Interest in seasonal employment has grown steadily in recent years, driven by the region’s strong tourism performance and the continued recovery of international travel. Lignano Sabbiadoro, one of the Adriatic coast’s most popular destinations, attracts visitors from across Italy, Austria, Germany, and Central Europe, creating sustained demand for a large and diverse workforce during the summer months.

Applications for the recruiting day must be submitted by February 15, 2026. Candidates are required to upload their curriculum vitae through the regional government’s dedicated webpage and may apply for one or more positions by selecting the “Mi Candido” option available at
