The city’s beloved San Nicolò si mette in moto charity ride returned this December for its 28th edition, once again transforming Trieste’s streets into a festive parade of motorcycles, holiday costumes and community spirit — all in support of children and families facing hardship.

The celebration began on December 6, when around 700 motorcyclists gathered for a spirited procession that wound its way through the city before reaching Piazza Unità d’Italia. There, a volunteer dressed as San Nicolò greeted children with toys and sweets, continuing a tradition that has become a hallmark of Trieste’s holiday season.
