The 2025 edition of the Tiramisù World Cup, now in its ninth year, is set to take place in the northern Italian city of Treviso from October 10 to 12.

Over the course of three days, 240 tiramisù enthusiasts—both Italian and international—will compete for the coveted world title. Participants must be over 18 and strictly non-professional, and they can choose to present either a creative recipe or a traditional version. The traditional recipe requires six essential ingredients: savoiardi (ladyfingers), mascarpone, eggs, coffee, cocoa powder, and white sugar.

The competition will be held in stages at Piazza dei Signori in Treviso. This year’s participants hail from Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom, alongside numerous Italian contestants, primarily from the northern regions of Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

How to Make the Perfect Tiramisù
Tiramisù, one of Italy’s most internationally recognized desserts, translates literally as “pick me up,” reflecting its combination of coffee, cocoa, and liqueur. While recipes vary, the classic approach involves soaking sponge cake in coffee and alcohol—typically rum or brandy—then layering it with mascarpone and finishing with a dusting of cocoa powder.
