Interview: FVG councilor for infrastructure, Cristina Amirante
Marco Consalvo, chief executive of Trieste Airport, is reportedly set to become the next president of the Port Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea, overseeing the ports of Trieste and Monfalcone.

The agreement follows a debate within the League party over the appointment, with the Ministry of Infrastructure ultimately backing the region’s choice. His nomination still requires parliamentary approval.
In the interim, Donato Liguori will continue as special commissioner, ensuring the authority’s operations proceed smoothly. Mr. Consalvo has led Trieste Airport since 2015 and previously served as general director of Naples Airport.
