The panoramic bar located atop the Bastione Rotondo at Castello di San Giusto is opening its doors for a special series of evening events throughout June, blending music, culture, and sweeping views of the Adriatic Sea. Organized by Midnight Srl in collaboration with the City of Trieste and the Castle Museum, the initiative aims to animate the historic site with a mix of guided tours and cultural programming.
Visitors can expect a rotating schedule that includes live musical performances, poetry readings, wine tastings, and artistic workshops. Returning this year is L’ora di storia, a guided tour that offers a historical walk along the castle’s ramparts and fortifications. Led by official guides of the museum, the tour is conducted in Italian and begins at 7 p.m.
Staff at the Bastione Bar—known for their work at local venues such as Cemut, Stazione Rogers, and Barakin San Giusto—will be on hand to serve aperitivi. The venue’s elevated terrace provides one of the most scenic spots in the city to enjoy the sunset.
June Program Highlights:
- Wednesday, June 11: Panorama diVino, a wine-themed evening in collaboration with AIS (Italian Sommelier Association)
- Thursday, June 12 & Friday, June 13: Open evenings without scheduled events
- Saturday, June 14: DJ set by Alexino
