From The Ice Age To Trieste: Mammoths And Rhinos Exhibition Opened Downtown

An exhibition curated by Zoic srl of Trieste in collaboration with the Municipality and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, was inaugurated at the Sala delle Colonne and is not open to public with free admission and entry from Riva Mandracchio.

During the annual Trieste Maker Faire on 2 and 3 September, the mammoth skeleton will be exhibited directly in Piazza Unità. Public will be able to admire the mammoth in its outdoor location and then continue the visit in Sala Colonne for the others exhibits (open during the entire weekend). 

On Saturday 2 September from 2.15pm to 2.45pm a talk dedicated to the exhibition and its protagonists will be held during the Maker Faire event.

Opening hours

From 28 August to 9 September from 10 am to 6 pm

Saturday 2nd September from 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm

Monday 4th September from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm

Guided tours for groups by reservation via email at stoneage@zoic.it. Educational workshops organized by the Natural History Museum from 10 am to 12 pm.
