The City of Trieste welcomed the under-15 girls’ football team of A.S.D. Club Altura to City Hall on Friday, recognizing the young athletes for winning both the Under-15 Silver 1 league title and the Memorial Carmela Guido Tournament in Bardolino.
Mayor Roberto Dipiazza, Sports Councilor Elisa Lodi, and City Councilor Stefano Bernobich received the team in the Municipal Council Chamber alongside youth sector director Alberto Bertocchi and members of the coaching staff.
During the ceremony, city officials praised the players’ commitment and described sport as an important vehicle for personal growth and discipline. Lodi also reaffirmed the municipality’s support for Club Altura, including ongoing improvements to its football facilities, ahead of the club’s 50th anniversary in 2027.
The event concluded with an exchange of gifts, as the city presented its official pennant while the team donated a signed group photograph and a personalized Club Altura jersey to the mayor.
