One of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s longest-running youth cycling races will return on Sunday, Sept. 6, as the 33rd Trieste–Gorizia–Udine Insieme nello Sport brings under-17 riders across the region in a one-day road race linking its three historic cities.
Organized by A.S.D. Ciclo Assi Friuli, the regional competition is part of the Challenge Ciclismo e Turismo series and is open to the Allievi (Under 17) category. The race will be held as a single-day road event under the Italian Cycling Federation’s regional calendar.
The route traditionally begins with a ceremonial start in Piazza del Ponterosso in Trieste before heading north through the Karst, passing Gorizia and the Collio wine region, and finishing in Udine after approximately 86 kilometers of racing.
The event takes place alongside the final day of the 62nd Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, creating a weekend that places the region at the center of Italy’s cycling calendar.
