The 2026 cruise season at the Port of Trieste moves into full swing on Saturday, May 23, as three cruise ships are scheduled to dock simultaneously, bringing an estimated 5,000 passengers through the city.
The vessels expected in port are the Norwegian Gem, serving a largely American clientele; the Marella Explorer 2, carrying mostly British passengers; and the Silver Muse, a luxury vessel hosting travelers from a range of countries.
The arrivals are also expected to generate significant activity for the region’s tourism sector. For passengers aboard the Silver Muse, 26 tour guides will lead excursions across Friuli Venezia Giulia, introducing visitors to destinations throughout the region.
