The concert of the Carabinieri Musical Band took place at the Politeama Rossetti in Trieste, marking a central event in a day of ceremonies commemorating the first anniversary of the declaration of “Venerability” of Salvo D’Acquisto by Pope Francis.

The musical performance was presented by the Arma dei Carabinieri and featured its orchestra of more than 100 musicians, known for a repertoire spanning military marches, classical works, and modern compositions.

The concert program included pieces selected for their symbolic resonance with the commemorative theme. The evening was hosted by Margherita Granbassi, a former Olympic fencer and Trieste native, who introduced the performance to the audience.

Attendees included institutional representatives such as Massimiliano Fedriga, President of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, who reaffirmed the region’s support for the Carabinieri and highlighted the significance of D’Acquisto’s sacrifice within the ongoing beatification process.
