Meteorologists at Arpa, the regional environmental agency, forecast largely clear conditions across Friuli Venezia Giulia through Monday, with abundant sunshine, falling temperatures and strong bora winds along the coast.
Beginning Tuesday, the arrival of two Atlantic weather fronts is expected to bring widespread precipitation, with heavy snowfall in the mountains, potentially reaching valley floors. Rain and snow are also forecast to continue on Wednesday, with snowfall expected at elevations above roughly 1,000 meters.
