On May 31, a beloved Italian singer, Cesare Cremonini, will open his next tour with an unconventional performance at the Amedeo Duca d’Aosta Airport in Gorizia.
The concert will serve as the “date zero” of Cremonini Live26, marking the singer-songwriter’s return to the stage following the success of his latest album.
Tickets for the concert went on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m. through major online platforms.
The venue itself is central to the event’s significance. Once an active airport and a notable example of early aeronautical architecture, the Amedeo Duca d’Aosta site has recently undergone a process of redevelopment, transforming it into a large open-air space designed to host cultural events.
Organizers envision it as a future “music park” for the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, capable of accommodating large-scale live performances.
Organized in collaboration with Live Nation Italia, regional and municipal partners, and local cultural promoters, the event underscores a broader trend in Italy: the repurposing of former industrial and infrastructural sites as venues for contemporary culture.
