Italy’s Minister for Public Administration, Paolo Zangrillo, has unveiled a broad initiative aimed at modernizing the country’s public sector, marking what officials describe as a significant step toward improving government efficiency and competitiveness. The effort includes the signing of a new national contract for public employees and the formal opening of negotiations for the 2025–27 agreement. The government says the plan is designed to streamline administrative processes, strengthen digital capabilities and create a more responsive public workforce.
