The 57th edition of the Barcolana, the world-renowned sailing regatta held annually in the Gulf of Trieste, concluded on Sunday morning under light winds and clear autumn skies. The race began at 10:30 a.m., with more than a thousand boats filling the bay in one of the Adriatic’s most celebrated maritime traditions.
The crew led by skipper Furio Benussi crossed the finish line first, completing the course in 1 hour, 43 minutes, and 42 seconds. Despite a modest breeze of around 6 knots, the team maintained an average cruising speed of approximately 12 knots, securing a decisive victory.
