Civil Protection authorities in Friuli Venezia Giulia have extended a yellow weather alert until midnight on Thursday, August 21, warning of possible heavy thunderstorms across the region.
The advisory, originally set to expire earlier, was prolonged as forecasters predicted unstable conditions over the plains and along the Adriatic coast throughout the day. Officials said the storms could be locally intense, though the overall alert level remains at the lowest tier in Italy’s three-step system.
Residents were urged to monitor updates and exercise caution, particularly in areas prone to flooding or strong winds.
