A summer evening of classical music set amidst the vineyards of Friuli Venezia Giulia will bring the July program of the Art Without Borders festival to a close. On Wednesday, July 30, at 8:30 p.m., the String Orchestra of the Associazione Musicale e Culturale di Farra d’Isonzo will perform at the scenic Borgo Conventi estate in Farra d’Isonzo, a town near the Slovenian border in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
The concert is the final July event of Art Without Borders, a multidisciplinary cultural series supported by the Municipality of Farra d’Isonzo. The festival aims to promote artistic collaboration and accessibility across regional and national lines.
Held in the heart of wine country, the event offers audiences a chance to experience a curated musical journey through different historical periods and cultural traditions. The orchestra, comprised of local musicians and young talents, is known for its versatile repertoire and community-driven performances.
The initiative is part of a broader collaboration involving local civic and cultural organizations, including ASD Just Dance & Fit, Associazione Conquistando Escalones ODV, and the cross-border arts platform IoDeposito. The cities of Gorizia and Gradisca d’Isonzo, along with the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and sponsors such as Tenuta Villanova and Cantina Produttori Cormòns, are also supporting the project.
Art Without Borders has hosted a range of events this month, from contemporary dance to visual art installations, all designed to explore the intersection of culture, accessibility, and community engagement.
Admission to the concert is free, with limited seating available. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the venue’s vineyard views and hospitality offerings.
