The popular vintage market “Un Pozzo di Occasioni” is set to return to the hilltop village of Opicina on Saturday, June 28. Organized by the cultural association Cose di Vecchie Case in collaboration with the Municipality of Trieste, the event takes place every fourth Saturday of the month and will continue through the end of 2025.
Held in the heart of the village from 8 a.m. with free admission, the market offers a curated selection of small antiques, modern collectibles, artisan crafts, and hobby creations. Exhibitors from across the Friuli Venezia Giulia region are expected to take part.
Now a regular feature on the local calendar, the market aims to revitalize Opicina’s historic center and support the area’s economic activity. Organizers hope to attract both residents and tourists from Trieste and beyond, encouraging visitors to explore local shops and businesses alongside the market stalls.
Particular emphasis is placed on vintage items such as vinyl records, comic books, miniatures, models, and other nostalgic collectibles. With its blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and community engagement, “Un Pozzo di Occasioni” continues to serve as both a cultural and commercial anchor for the Karst Plateau village.
