Love in FVG: From Waterfront Strolls to a Miramare Castle Proposal

It’s officially the most romantic day of the year: St. Valentine’s Day. But how are residents of Friuli Venezia Giulia celebrating? We spoke with pedestrians in downtown Trieste. Some couples embraced tradition with flowers, chocolates, or dinner reservations, while others preferred quiet evenings at home. One couple shared that they had just gotten engaged, after he proposed at the picturesque Miramare Castle. Singles said they might treat themselves to a favorite pastry or a stroll along the waterfront.
