The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has opened applications for the Dote Scuola program earlier than in previous years, Regional Councilor for Education Alessia Rosolen announced Monday. The online application process, which includes aid for private school attendance and boarding accommodations, is now live, with submissions accepted until 4 p.m. on November 20.
The initiative was presented during a regional webinar aimed at school principals, family association leaders, and parents. Rosolen explained that the earlier launch is designed to ensure families receive financial assistance during the current school year rather than waiting until its conclusion. “We anticipated the publication of the call to allow families to benefit from the contributions already during the school year,” Rosolen said, noting the alignment with national ministry deadlines.
Applications are to be submitted exclusively online through the Ardis FVG website at ibit.ly/A_CJ3.
The Dote Scuola program provides flat-rate contributions to families residing in the region with children enrolled in lower and upper secondary schools, both public and private, with an ISEE income threshold of €35,000. The regional contribution amounts to €250 for students in lower secondary schools and the first two years of upper secondary schools, and €400 for students in the final three years of upper secondary education. More than 22,000 students are expected to benefit.
Starting January 1, 2025, exceptions to the ISEE requirement will apply to certain cases, including widowed parents, mothers with dependent minors participating in protection programs for victims of violence, and students with certified disabilities.
For students attending private schools, regional aid will amount to €1,095 for primary school pupils, €1,545 for lower secondary students, and €2,145 for upper secondary students — a 50 percent increase compared with previous years.
Families with students enrolled in boarding schools (convitti) across the region are eligible for a separate contribution of €800 to offset accommodation costs. These benefits will also include ISEE exemptions starting in the 2025–2026 school year for widowed parents and mothers in protection programs.
The package of educational support measures also includes the FVG Student Psychologist Bonus, available through November 17, 2025, pending renewal of the agreement with the Regional School Office and the Order of Psychologists. Additional aid covers the purchase of textbooks for blind or visually impaired students.
Overall, more than €8.6 million has been allocated for educational support measures under the regional guidelines for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Rosolen reminded families that through the same Ardis portal, they can also apply for national scholarships supporting upper secondary students with textbook purchases, mobility and transportation costs, and access to cultural services.
