In the heart of Trieste, amidst the urban landscape, there’s a growing interest in finding tranquility and connection with nature. Zenaide Vedelago will be speaking on the role of pollinating insects and beekeeping at Via Modiano 5 on Thursday, April 4th, at 5:30 PM. She will be sharing personal experiences and insights on how these insects contribute to urban biodiversity.
This discussion is part of a larger initiative led by Urbi et Horti in collaboration with partners such as Legambiente Trieste, Bioest, and the Municipality of Trieste. The aim is to promote a deeper understanding of our environment and engage citizens in the care of green spaces.
Practical experience will also be provided by experts in agriculture, botany, and conservation. It’s an opportunity for hands-on learning and discovering the satisfaction of cultivating urban gardens.
Tiziana Cimolino, an advocate for urban gardening, emphasizes the benefits of such activities, highlighting the connection with nature and the importance of stewardship.
Participants will have the chance to explore various topics, from pollination to beekeeping, and receive a certificate of participation upon completion. The ultimate reward lies in the positive impact on communities, as balconies and streets come alive with greenery and pollinators.
