Families in Trieste will be able to apply for municipal financial support to offset the cost of children’s summer camps under a city program approved for the 2026 season.

The initiative, authorized by the City Council in July, provides reimbursements for expenses incurred by families whose children attended public or private recreational summer programs between June 15 and September 4, 2026.

To qualify, households must have a valid ISEE (Italy’s income-based economic indicator) of €35,000 or less, and the children must have been residents of Trieste when the application is submitted. The reimbursement applies to authorized summer activity centers and is calculated after the season based on the actual weeks attended.

The city said the contribution is intended for children who were included on the official waiting lists for the municipal Ricrestate or Summer Centers, whose final rankings were published on May 19, 2026.

Applications will be accepted online only from September 1 through November 30, 2026, using Italy’s digital identity systems, including SPID, CIE, or CNS.

Further details and application instructions are available through the City of Trieste’s education portal.
