Famous Italian-American actor Stanley Tucci, celebrated for his versatile film roles and the hit food series Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, brought his passion for Italian cuisine to Trieste this week. Visiting for the first time to attend an event hosted by Ambasciatori del Gusto, Tucci emphasized that Italy’s cuisine is far more than the familiar shorthand of “pizza and spaghetti.” Drawing on his Italian-American roots and his documentary work, he highlighted the country’s regional diversity. Staying only 12 hours, he said he looked forward to a single meal that might capture the depth of Italy’s culinary traditions.
