The City of Trieste has reminded residents that the second installment of the TARI waste management tax is due on December 2, 2025.

Payments can be made through the online portal operated by Esatto S.p.A., accessible via this link using SPID or CIE digital identity credentials.

This year, the Authority for Energy, Networks, and Environment (ARERA) has introduced an additional equalization component to the TARI bill, alongside the existing UR1 and UR2 charges. The new UR3 component covers social waste bonuses and is quantified at €6 per household per year, to be applied to eligible recipients in 2026. UR1, at €0.10 per household, covers the costs of accidentally collected or voluntarily collected waste, while UR2, at €1.50 per household, funds assistance for exceptional events or disasters.

For more information on TARI, residents can visit the City of Trieste’s dedicated page.

The Esatto S.p.A. online portal also allows users to:

  • Register an email address for receiving TARI, ILIA, and CUP notices.
  • Pay TARI and CUP directly through the PagoPA system or print payment notices for use at banks, post offices, and authorized payment points.
  • Print F24 forms for ILIA payments.
  • Monitor account status and submit registration, cessation, or modification declarations related to TARI, with supporting documentation, by June 30 of the year following the relevant event.

For assistance, residents can contact Esatto S.p.A. at via Ottaviano Augusto 20/1, Trieste, call the toll-free number 800-800-880, or email esatto@esattospa.it.

Public service hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
