The city of Trieste, in collaboration with the Proloco Trieste A.P.S., is set to host the annual “Let’s Move Trieste” event from September 12 to 14, 2025, at Porto Vecchio / Porto Vivo and the Generali Convention Center. The weekend will feature a triathlon on Saturday, September 13, and a Family Run on Sunday, September 14, with both events starting and finishing within the Porto Vecchio / Porto Vivo complex.

In preparation, the city has issued a series of traffic and parking measures aimed at ensuring safety and smooth operations during the events.

Saturday, September 13:

  • A no-parking and no-stopping zone, with vehicle removal, will be in effect from midnight to 11:59 p.m. in the parking area adjacent to Magazzino 28, between the Generali Convention Center and the TPL-designated road near Basin 0.
  • From midnight to 10 p.m., parking and stopping will be prohibited along internal roads of the Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo complex, between the Viale Miramare roundabout and the open area in front of warehouses 116–203.
  • From 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., or until no longer needed, all vehicle and bicycle traffic will be restricted on internal roads and the cycle path within the complex.
  • Between 2:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., a lane reduction will be enforced on Viale Miramare near the entrance roundabout to the Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo complex, maintaining two lanes, each at least 3.5 meters wide.

Sunday, September 14:

  • From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or until no longer needed, all vehicles and bicycles will be prohibited from accessing internal roads and the cycle path within the complex.

Exceptions:
Certain vehicles will be granted exemptions, including those of event organizers or authorized personnel with a specific pass, emergency and police vehicles, public service vehicles, and vehicles servicing ongoing construction within the complex. Vehicles for disabled drivers with valid permits may also use designated spaces within restricted areas. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed.

Authorities have noted that police or local law enforcement may make additional adjustments or implement further restrictions as necessary during the weekend.

The city urges residents and visitors to plan accordingly and follow posted signs and guidance to minimize disruptions.
