To accommodate the large number of attendees expected at the Robbie Williams concert on Thursday, July 17, in Trieste, Italian rail operator Trenitalia is adding late-night train services.

Trenitalia’s Regionale division, in coordination with the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, has announced two special trains that will run during the night between July 17 and July 18, providing approximately 2,000 additional seats. The move is aimed at facilitating safe and efficient transportation for fans returning home after the event.

The first special train, No. 23204, will depart from Trieste Centrale at 12:15 a.m., arriving in Portogruaro at 1:23 a.m. It will make stops in Monfalcone, Trieste Airport, Cervignano, San Giorgio di Nogaro, and Latisana.

The second train, No. 23200, will leave Trieste Centrale at 12:46 a.m., arriving in Sacile at 2:42 a.m., with stops in Monfalcone, Trieste Airport, Cervignano, Palmanova, Udine, and Pordenone.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to support regional mobility during major cultural events. Trenitalia and local authorities frequently collaborate on special transport services to ease the strain on infrastructure and minimize road traffic during concerts, festivals, and sporting events.

Robbie Williams, the British singer and former member of Take That, is expected to draw thousands of fans from across Italy and neighboring countries. The Trieste concert is part of his 2025 European tour, and local officials anticipate it will generate a significant influx of visitors to the area.

In recent years, Trieste has increasingly positioned itself as a destination for large-scale entertainment and cultural programming. The addition of extra train services reflects the city’s ongoing efforts to ensure accessibility and safety during high-attendance events.
