Final preparations are underway for Tramonti a Nord Est, the floating music festival set to bring an ambitious blend of music and maritime spectacle to the shores of Trieste this week. Among the artists performing is rapper Gemitaiz, newly confirmed alongside Italian pop sensation Tananai and DJ-producer Mace. Singer-songwriter Elisa is also expected to make a surprise appearance.

The centerpiece of the Trieste concert will be the Palinuro, a tall ship from the Italian Navy, which is scheduled to dock near the Scala Reale on Wednesday. While not open to public tours, the ship will be transformed into a stage for the evening’s concert, with lighting, sound systems, security measures, and access points meticulously planned to accommodate the crowd gathering along Piazza Unità and the adjacent Rive.

The Trieste event is part of a broader initiative billed as the region’s first “floating festival,” which will also include performances in the Gulf of Monfalcone and the lagoons of Grado and Marano. In addition to Trieste’s lineup, the broader program features artists such as Emma, Dardust, and Motel Connection.

Attendance to all events is free, but registration will be required for the Monfalcone and Grado concerts. Online reservations are set to open on Monday, with details to be announced through the official festival channels.

As anticipation builds, Tramonti a Nord Est promises to offer a unique blend of music and maritime tradition, highlighting the cultural and coastal identity of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
