Visitors and residents will have another opportunity to discover Trieste’s history in English on Sunday, Aug. 9, as the city’s weekly “The Story of Trieste” guided tour returns to San Giusto Castle.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m. and lasting about one hour, the tour will be led by a specialist guide from the San Giusto Castle Museum. Participants will explore the fortress’s historic halls and panoramic ramparts while tracing the city’s development from the Roman era to the present day.
Perched on Trieste’s hilltop, San Giusto Castle offers sweeping views of the city and the Gulf of Trieste, providing a setting that connects the city’s military, political and cultural history with its modern urban landscape.
The initiative is held every Sunday and is organized by the San Giusto Castle Museum in collaboration with CoopCulture.
