As the summer season gathers pace along the Adriatic coast, Cohiba, a long-established beachfront venue in Baia di Sistiana near Trieste, has expanded its seasonal operations with extended opening hours, upgraded facilities and a refreshed beach offering.
Beginning May 29, the beach club and bar are open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., while the restaurant serves lunch from noon to 3:30 p.m. and early evening dining from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This year, the property has introduced a redesigned beach area featuring 32 private beach stations. Guests can reserve sunbeds online and access beach services directly from their loungers. Additional beach equipment is available for rent on-site.
The venue’s food and beverage program remains centered on seafood, reflecting the area’s coastal traditions. Menu offerings include fried seafood platters, tuna, sea bass and salmon tartares, scampi platters and shrimp tempura. Pizzas, snacks and light bites round out the selection. Meals and drinks are served either at tables overlooking the water or directly to guests relaxing on the beach.
The bar’s cocktail menu features a mix of international classics and seasonal specialties. Its wine list includes labels from northeastern Italy’s Collio and Karst regions, alongside sparkling wines from several French wine-producing areas, including the Loire Valley, Alsace, Burgundy and Bordeaux.
On Sundays, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., live DJ sets accompany the venue’s late-afternoon service, drawing visitors for aperitifs and seafood specialties as the sun sets over the bay. The setting offers views across the Adriatic and toward the nearby Duino Castle, one of the area’s most recognizable landmarks.
