The second edition of the Borgo Teresiano Wine Fest opened Thursday evening at 90% Pesce, a restaurant in Via XXX Ottobre, launching a five-day program dedicated to local food, wine, music and culture in one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods.

The festival, which runs through Tuesday, is organized by the association Intraprendi and Freshmedia in collaboration with the City of Trieste, with support from the Trieste Convention & Visitors Bureau and local sponsors.

This year’s program includes wine tastings, guided tours, live music, theater performances and cultural events aimed at showcasing the region’s food and wine traditions. Organizers reported strong participation from both residents and visitors, with several tasting tours already drawing significant interest.

Among the festival’s highlights is a sunset wine picnic scheduled for Sunday evening on the Molo Audace waterfront. Participants will receive a picnic box featuring locally produced wine, cheeses, cured meats and other regional specialties before gathering by the sea for an event accompanied by live music and street performers.

Other events include a jazz evening featuring musicians from the Tartini Conservatory, an art-and-wine tasting showcasing wines from the Lupinc winery alongside works by emerging artists, and a series of theater performances presented by La Contrada. The festival will conclude Tuesday with a five-kilometer run organized by Cavana Run Club, followed by a wine tasting.
