Families in Trieste will have the opportunity to explore the world of pollinators this spring through a new interactive program at the Orto Botanico di Trieste.
As part of the city’s “Primavera nei Musei” initiative, the botanical garden will host “BZZZ! Uno spuntino tra i fiori,” a guided activity designed for children and adults to discover how bees, butterflies and other insects feed among seasonal blooms.
Set along the garden’s pathways, where new flowers emerge each week, the 90-minute experience will lead participants through a series of interactive stations focused on the role pollinators play in maintaining ecological balance. Organizers describe the activity as both educational and playful, encouraging families to observe nature closely through games and hands-on exploration.
The program is recommended for children ages 6 to 11, who must be accompanied by an adult.
The activity will take place on Sunday, May 17, and again on Sunday, June 7, both beginning at 10:30 a.m. Admission costs 8 euros per participant.
Reservations can be made through CoopCulture or by contacting CoopCulture at 040 9892032 or via email at museicivici.trieste@coopculture.it.
