Ten athletes from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region have been selected to represent Italy at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, kicking off this Friday with a ceremony at the San Siro stadium, highlighting the area’s strength in winter sports disciplines. The regional contingent will compete across biathlon, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and Nordic combined events.
Among the athletes expected to make a mark are Lisa Vittozzi in biathlon, Lara Della Mea in alpine skiing, and Alessandro Pittin in Nordic combined. The full list of Friuli Venezia Giulia representatives includes:
