Are you a fan of all things vintage? Do you consider yourself a conscious consumer? Well, this is the event for you! Giulia hosts a recurring historical guest dating back to 1996—the used market brought to you by the Cultural Association “Cose di Vecchie Case.” Come and explore a myriad of items offered by passionate individuals, giving new life to objects of the past.
The upcoming rendezvous is scheduled for Saturday, January 6th, and Sunday, January 7th, from 9 am to 7 pm in the common areas of the Giulia shopping center’s Gallery. Admission is free, offering an elegant selection of small antiques, modern items, collectibles, and artisan crafts.
Since 1996, “Il Giulia” has been a fixed city affair with its traditional and historical used market, featuring small antiques, modern items, collectibles, and artisan crafts, all organized by the Cultural Association “Cose di Vecchie Case.” It serves as a carefully curated showcase dedicated to antiques, modern items, and artistic creations, attracting exhibitors from across the region.
This event showcases a collection of items with a nostalgic touch, including grandma’s memorabilia, ancient objects, and decorative items—silent witnesses of a bygone era. Emerging miraculously from dusty attics and old trunks, these items regain value and discover newfound dignity on the market stalls, appealing not only to collectors but also to those seeking a unique and extraordinary gift.
The event will dedicate ample space, as always, to small antiques, modern items, and collectibles, featuring vintage vinyl records, comics, miniatures, models, and other memorabilia that will undoubtedly delight enthusiasts. The stalls will also display handmade products, hobbies, and do-it-yourself items, with a special focus on seasonal themes, particularly those related to the winter season.
Noteworthy among the offered artisan and hobbyist products are creations in wood, glass, and ceramics. Additionally, there will be decorated plates, flower compositions, animal-shaped colored stones, finely crafted glass objects, ancient embroideries and lacework, and more.
Every first weekend of the month, from 9 am to 7 pm, you can browse through a thousand curiosities and surprises, capturing the Belle Epoque (and more) style that the market has to offer. Consider spending a festive shopping day in an unconventional way, embarking on a small “treasure hunt” among the always charming exhibits.
The next edition of the market is set for Saturday, February 3rd, and Sunday, February 4th, 2024, with the same hours and free admission.
Active since 1998 throughout the region, the association, currently boasting over 350 members, leverages its over two decades of experience to organize events with more than 100 private exhibitors, including collectors, hobbyists, artists, and artisans. In collaboration with the municipal administrations of Trieste, Duino-Aurisina, Muggia, Grado, Monfalcone, Palmanova, Gradisca d’Isonzo, Ronchi dei Legionari, and Bordano, the association has extensive organizational experience in the realms of both musical and children’s events.
