The newly renovated Grand Hotel Duchi d’Aosta which needs little introduction has reopened for public with a welcoming concept of aperitivi, tea time and leisurely afternoons in a beautiful setting.
A Milanese architect, Mr Egidio Panzera, renovated all of the common areas and rooms at the renowned Duchi D’Aosta making it an even more appealing place to stay.

For those new to Trieste, the Grand Hotel Duchi d’Aosta is a 5-star boutique hotel, located in Piazza Unità with the views of the sea.
“But it has a different concept now”, the PR manager Nora Zanella told us. “I am from Venice where going to a hotel for an aperitivo is very common. Here in Trieste nobody really does that. And we want to change this – we want Triestini as well as tourists to know that they can walk in and sit down in the beautiful Sala Svevo, sip a cocktail and read a book before exploring the city.”
If you want to have a staycation in our city, Duchi has multitude of rooms available from Prestige Room to Master Room with the views of Piazza Unità.

If you’re in for some delicious food, Duchi’s Harry’s Bar is open from breakfast till lunch (Harry’s Bistrò) and dinner (Harry’s Piccolo which prides on two Michelin stars).
From this Friday on, Triestini are also welcome to walk in and enjoy Promenade dell’arte Verticale, a temporary gallery inside the hotel. This exhibition is curated by a Venitian gallerist, Maria Bastianello, and will be open for visits from 29 October on.
