Strong Bora winds continued to sweep across Trieste on Tuesday, with gusts exceeding 100 kilometers per hour, causing disruption across the city and damaging public property.
The powerful northeasterly winds brought another day of difficult conditions, with gusts affecting traffic, pedestrians and outdoor areas.
Among the visible signs of the storm, flags flying above San Giusto Castle and the Municipality of Trieste were torn by the force of the wind.
The latest episode comes after several days of persistent Bora, one of the region’s most characteristic weather phenomena, which regularly brings powerful gusts to the city and the Gulf of Trieste.
