At the Link Media Festival in Trieste, a prominent forum for international journalism and global affairs, the 2026 UNICEF Link Award was presented to the war correspondent Cecilia Sala.
The annual prize, promoted by UNICEF, recognizes journalism that brings attention to humanitarian crises and the rights of children and young people. Sala was honored for her reporting from conflict zones, where her work has consistently focused on the experiences of vulnerable children and families.
