Italy will face Bosnia and Herzegovina in a decisive playoff match for a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, 31 March 2026, at 20:45 in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This game represents the final stage of the European qualification playoffs for the tournament, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico during the summer.

The European playoff system determines the last six teams to qualify for the World Cup. Italy and Bosnia reached the final by winning their respective semifinal matches. Other European playoff finals scheduled at the same time include Kosovo vs. Turkey, the Czech Republic vs. Denmark, and Sweden vs. Poland.

The outcome of the match will directly decide which team secures a place at the World Cup. Teams eliminated at this stage will have no alternative route to qualification.
