The governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga, cautioned on Wednesday, 11 March, that artificial intelligence is transforming not only routine work but also highly skilled professions, urging local institutions and businesses to prepare for significant changes in production and labor markets.
Speaking via videoconference at the launch of a strategic roadmap by the Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico in Pordenone, Mr. Fedriga emphasized the need for lifelong learning, investment in research, and collaboration between local industries and technological hubs. The initiative, part of a series of seminars leading up to Pordenone Italian Capital of Culture 2027, aims to promote inclusive and sustainable business practices while linking regional economic growth to cultural development.
“The revolution underway does not concern only companies or institutions,” Mr. Fedriga said. “It is a global phenomenon with strong effects on individual territories.”
The roadmap will continue with upcoming events in Udine on April 21, in Trieste on May 12, and again in Pordenone on June 16.
