Interview: FVG councilor for environment, Fabio Soccimarro; Anna Lutman, Director General of ARPA FVG; Fulvio Stel, scientific director of ARPA FVG
Arpa FVG, the regional environmental protection agency, has launched “Terra rara,” a quarterly online publication aimed at translating scientific data into accessible information for the public. The project seeks to make the region’s environmental monitoring more understandable and actionable, highlighting the unique ecological features of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The publication includes articles, interviews, podcasts, videos, and infographics, with each issue focused on seasonal environmental topics. The first issue, dedicated to winter, features an interview with Fabio Scoccimarro, Regional Councillor for Environmental Protection, Energy, and Sustainable Development, who emphasized the importance of science-based information in addressing climate change and resource management.
Anna Lutman, Director General of Arpa FVG, noted that the agency collects and validates thousands of measurements on air, water, soil, climate, and radiation daily. Terra rara aims to turn this data into clear, reliable knowledge for citizens and institutions, reinforcing the agency’s role in promoting environmental awareness.
