The City of Trieste has announced that residents can manage payments for the 2025 TARI waste tax through the Esatto S.p.A. online service portal, accessible via this link using either SPID or a national electronic identity card (CIE).
The municipality has set payment deadlines for September 30—either as a single payment or the first installment—and December 2 for the second installment.
Starting this year, the national Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment (ARERA) has introduced an additional “equalization” component to waste bills, supplementing existing charges (UR1 and UR2). The new structure covers:
- URI: Costs for managing waste accidentally collected during fishing activities and for voluntarily collected waste, set at €0.10 per account annually.
- UR2: Discounts granted for exceptional events or natural disasters, set at €1.50 per account annually.
- UR3: Discounts for eligible recipients of the social waste tariff bonus, set at €6.00 per account annually. The bonus will be applied to qualifying households in 2026.
More details on the TARI can be found on the municipal website.
The Esatto portal also allows residents to provide an email address for receiving TARI, ILIA, and CUP (Unified Municipal Fee) notices; make payments through the PagoPA system or print payment slips for banks, post offices, or lottery retailers; generate F24 forms for ILIA payments; check account status; and submit declarations related to TARI (new registrations, cancellations, or changes) by June 30 of the year following the event, with appropriate documentation.
In-person assistance is available at Esatto S.p.A., Via Ottaviano Augusto 20/1, Trieste. The toll-free number is 800-800-880 and the email address is esatto@esattospa.it.
Public office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
