A groundbreaking ceremony took place this morning in Monfalcone’s industrial zone to mark the start of construction on “rFactory,” a new production facility for sustainable composite materials developed by Italian company nlcomp®.

The plant, which will cover approximately 500 square meters, is designed to be built entirely from sustainable materials—including wood and composites produced by nlcomp® itself. The facility will include manufacturing space for composite parts, offices, a meeting room, and an area dedicated to research and development.

Situated along the Lisert navigable canal, the rFactory is intended to serve as a model of eco-conscious industrial development. The official inauguration is scheduled for October.
